erasing hard drive with XP installed..

I want to completely erase my hard-drive which has winxp-home installed..in my Win(x days, I would use a boot disc and perform the format command.

What is needed to erase a win XP populated hardrive?

thanx.

You can do the same thing. Use a bootdisk and FDISK and format.

Or use a boot disc & then write '0's to the disc to really clean it off.

Download the zero-fill utility from the HD manufacturer.
