Remote Assistant Not working?
I attempted to use the Remote Assistant in Windows XP, but I Signed in with my MSN message name and Invited someone, but it tries to connect for about 10 minutes and says connecting with "that person"
Does Anyone Know How I Can Connect or Invite someone So it Actually Works Through Remote Assistant? |

Is remote assistance enabled? Sometimes your XP firewalls wont allow it either.

Yes but in Internet Connection and Network connections look in the advanced tab to see if the firewalls are checked. It comes with Win XP . Im just checking if ya know cause many ppl dont know that XP has built in firewalls.

Are you or the recepient behind a router? If so you will need to enable traffic on port 3389.
Also check to see remote assistance is enabled from Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > System > Remote - also make sure that the administrator hasnt disabled it in the group policy settings. All in all, I'd say you're pretty lucky to have a secure system if holes like that dont work
