Unhappy XP shut down bazzzare problems

Hi Yall.

I have windows XP and for the past month, whenever I go to shutdown the computer using the "turn off" button in between the standby and restart buttons, the computer shuts down, but then reboots!

once I try a second time, it then finally turns off. For the the past few weeks I've just been turning my computer off twice for it to actually turn off once.

Hmmmm

Anyone know what could cause this?

Thank you!

Check out the Windows XP Shutdown Troubleshooter and see if you can find your problem.

wow, that's a great website. You rock.

I dont have "auto restart" on, but I'll see if the usb connected is the culprit.

Thanks!

Darn.
I tried un checking the "automatically restart" feature and also unplugged the USB port I recently put in for a camera and it did shut down OK BUT I realized that the problem only happens if my computer is on for a few days.

Really bazzare.

Once I shut down the second time around everything is fine.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
