Explorer -- Illegal Opperation

Hey, i just reformatted, and freshly installed Window 98SE on my computer, and now everytime i boot up i get an Error Message. An illegal opperation message for explorer. After that, i cant shutDown / restart my computer withOut hitting the button or somethign like that. How can i fix this so i dont get an error on every startup?

Did you remember to turn off your Boot Sector AntiVirus while installing Windows? If not, enter your Bios Setup screens, disable the AntiVirus, fdisk and reinstall.

If that's not it, see if any of the links on this page help:

Also -
Did you change system memory between installs?
Did you reformat the entire hard drive, or just a system partition? [if just a system partition - try a virus scan from DOS]

Many things cause illegal operation errors - if there's a "Details" button, choose it & post those details here.
