Ms Outlook
I have Outlook to check my email, and I have it set up to auto chekc every minute which it does, and it recieves the emails, but when i hit the Send/Recieve button myself, I get a message that "The Operation Failed". Anyone know what the problem could be? I haven't restarted my computer in a while because I have been running folding at home.

setting it to check every minute it too much, you sustem would be wasting resources doing that plus its a waste of bandwith, set it to 10 to 30 min at the least.

What system resources does it waste?

Maybe.
In tools\options, where you have it checked to "check for messages every 1 minute", underneath that it says, "if my computer is not connected at this time", in the drop down box, select, "connect even when working offline". Might work. I know that was the most horrendous sentence of all time but I never pretended to be an English major..

I'm guessing that error is always there. You just won't see it during the auto send/recieve.
Check the details box for the error, and let us know exactly what it says. Also, check your outbox to make sure there isn't a message with that can't send due to a bad address. |

Also, it will help if you turn on logging under the "Options" menu for mail. That way, you will be able to see exactly what the error messages are.
