Convert Fat32 to NTFS

Is there any way to convert Fat32 to NTFS without reformating and loseing the data?

Remember this....You can't go back. FAT 32 to NTFS is a one way trip.

after doing a google search it appears that it is, and a couple other forums have said it works. like i said, i have never done it, so i can't vouch for it. sorry if i can't be of more service. hopefully someone else knows if it can be done on 2000

Yes it can be done in win2k, however it defaults to a 512 byte cluster size. This is not efficient. I would recommend using PM to convert win2k because you can set the cluster size to 4KB a more efficient size.

If you want to do it in win2k, here is the systax. Open a command prompt and type.

convert c: /fs:ntfs
