restore cd-rw under win 98se

I would like to know how to restore a cd-rom drive that I removed under the Device Manager. The cd-rom drive came with no manual or any documentations. It uses the drivers that are on Window 98se cd.

That happened to me awhile back after I removed the "auto-insert notification". After several reboots it was restored, thankfully, w/o unhooking the riibbon first.
