Recommanded Browser and DL manager?
I am currently using MYIE and Flashget, what programs you use? Is there any others that takes up less memory and looks better?

I like IE 6 and Opera. as far as a download manager, I never found one I really liked and that did any thing spectacular. Downloads will vary depending on your internet connection. Download manager programs don't make a difference in the speed of the download like they claim.

Download managers are mostly useful on connections that tend to disconnect, time out or are slow. A download manager will resume where it left off if the server you're downloading from supports resume and it can be set up to start a download at times when you're not using the computer.
Fresh Download gets good reviews from the people I know who use it with the added benefits of its being both free and without ads or spyware. |

I use Download Acceleraor Plus. It downloads from many sources to get a faster DL speed, it tripled my DL speed.

I still prefer IE for my browser. I use GetRight for my download manager.

For the browser, I tried Opera, but I think MYIE is easier to use, and is Internet Download Manager good? all I want is jsut a simple and small program that can resume downloads.

Just one note of caution for using a download manager: turn it off when downloading drivers or updates from Windows Update. The starting/stopping/continuing of some sensitive downloads can cause corruption in the download. nVidia specifically recommends not using any download managers when downloading from their driver sites.

A year or so ago I gave Mozilla a try. For some reason I didn't like it, and uninstalled. On Saturday, based on this thread, I tried Firebird, and am now using it as my default browser. I don't think I'll ever go back to IE. Firebird is great.
