WinXP Pro rar file???
Doing a new build for a friend and what I'd really like to do is load it with WinXP Pro which I have on my hard drive in a RAR file. Can I burn this to a disc or something and use that disc to clean install the OS on the new build?
Also do I need a WinXP Pro boot floppy disk to boot the system as I only have a WinME boot up disk or is there anywhere I can download one? Thanks in advance  Mackem

You can burn it to a cd. Some where on you desktop make a new folder and call it WinXp Pro and then extract all of the RAR files into this folder. When you start burning the CD just copy the files in the folder not the folder itself. I have done this numerous times without a problem.

You have XP Pro as a RAR file on your hard drive that you want to use on a friend's computer? Well... seems obvious to me that you are looking at piracy which if you took the time to read our FAQ, you will clearly see such discussions are not allowed here.
