System32

Hey everytime i start my computer it comes up with this message!

"Windows cannot find 'C:\WINDOWS\System32\system32.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the start button, and then click search."

Anyone know whats up with it? Im using Windows XP Professional.

Cheers

Your PC has been infected with something unpleasant. Do a scan for virii and trojans. SYSTEM32.exe is not a valid Windows file.

Have you recently eradicated a virus from your PC? If so, this may be a remnant from the virus. Otherwise, I would scan my PC with another anti-virus program just to be sure. An online scanner is available at http://housecall.trendmicro.com.

There isn't a legitimate reason for that message to be there. Either you had a virus but didn't get rid of everything before, or you have something now.
