Post Screen Res

Hello,

I'd like a larger workspace on my screen, I'm currently using 1024x768 screen resolution. Windows/3rd party tools won't allow me to set it higher (so everything on screen appears smaller) without getting an out of range message.

Any ideas?

I'm guessing that your monitor can't handle the higher resolution. 15" is very small for even 1024x768. You will probably have to get a new monitor.

15" LCD = 17"CRT, while a 17" LCD = 19" CRT (when I say =, I mean as close as it gets viewing area wise).

LCDs have a native resolution. In the case of the 15" LCD, it's native resolution is usually 1024x768. So if you want it any higher, you may or may night be able to depending on the brand. If you have 17" LCD, its native resolution should be higher than that of 1024x768 anyway. In that case, if you are having problems, you need the latest drivers from http://www.nvidia.com.

On top of that make sure your computer has drivers installed fit specifically for your monitor, not just some generic plug and play monitor drivers. In your case, go to Packard Bell's website to get the latest drivers.
