XP install over ME?
If i want to upgrade my OS from ME to XP, what would be the best way to do this? I have heard that a clean install of XP is needed or preferred if going from ME. If this is the case how would I do the clean install?
Thanks.

To do the clean install, you would first reformat your hard drive. You can do this from the bootable XP cd. Of course, reformatting will erase all data so make sure you back up any files you wish to save.
But you might want to try to just upgrade to XP over ME. Then, if it works to your satisfaction, you've saved some time. If not, you can always go back and do the reformat and clean install.

Personal I would def do a clean install as I have seen so many probs with upgrading and it makes it so much quicker to do a clean install. Just boot from the Windows XP CD, and format your C Drive, make sure you have backed up all your files first as you will loose them all when you format the drive

I would agree wit the clean install. I did the upgrade install once and it caused a lot of problems.
