Dear All,
I have 2 O/S which is Win2K and Win98, and I set up for dualboot. The problem is, I changed the value in System Properties ->system startup -> show list for 30 seconds. I put 0 second on that. So...now everytime I turn on my computer, it goes to Win98. How can I modified that menu again, so I can have the option what O/S I want to choose. Anybody can help, Please....!!! Thank's in advanced. |

Was your XP installed on an NTFS partition or FAT32 partition. If XP is on FAT32, then with win98, you can still go into your XP partition and edit /boot.ini. The 'timeout' line will be your culprit. It is specified in seconds.

Boot.ini will be on your C:\ partition. In W98 open exploer\tools\floder options\view check the box that says "show hidden files and folders".
Click start\search (or find) and type boot.ini. Open it with notepad. On the top you will see [boot loader] under that "time out=0". Change 0 to another value like 10 and reboot. |
