XP issues....
Along with the problem I posted last week in which downloads would just go kaput at any given time, now I cannot open 2 browser windows at the same time. If I click the explorer icon I get an "error report" message, but if I'm on a site and right-click a link, "open in new window", then it works...although that's a hassle. While going through files and folders it's exceptionally slow, sometimes locking up, and struggles mightily to load files off of cd-rom, usually locking up there also. I just reformatted this heap 3 weeks ago, so why it went to sh*t this quick I don't understand. Any suggestions, or should I wipe it clean and start over again? I haven't tried a system restore yet, but it always gave errors in the past, so I see no reason why it would work now.

I just recently had the same thing happen to me. That is the problem of having the second window closing on you. I ran adaware http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ and found some malware programs, also I ran windows update and the problem has gone away.
