Unhappy Major Administrator Problem on XP

I have a big problem. I was trying to remove the password logon from XP Pro because I am the only user. I did Run> control userpasswords2 and unchecked the "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" box. Something went wrong on restarting though.

I rebooted the computer and could not log on. I fiddled with the Administrator settings, somehow creating an "Administrator" account as well as my name's account. I still could not log on as myself, and I was forced to log on as a no name user.I accidentally deleted my old name account, so I cannot access my files! I know they are still there, my hard drive space didnt change and I can see some of the files. Some I cant open though, I get a "access denied" error.

Does anyone know how I can get back my old administrator abilities and use my files? I would be extremely appreciative of any advice. TIA

False alarm. A system restore fixed everything.
