Not right now. With current versions of XP it is illegal. Microsoft will have a family pack version of XP Home available next year whose licensing allows installation on 3 PC's. Price hasn't been announced for system builders yet, but we expect it to be around the $200 range to compete with the OS X family pack.

Now with the Office programs... YES... you can put a copy on the desktop computer and a notebook computer.. but you can NOT put it on two desktop or two laptop computers. Even with the product activation, this is allowed. You WILL get an error that it is already activated on one PC, but then you phone MS and explain that you are installing on one notebook and one desktop and then they will activate the second copy.

This works great, I did it also and it took about 3 minutes on the phone with MS and it was done. All they said was that the office software had to be registered to the same person.

This would be a great time to plug Open Office. It's free, getting better by the day, and you could install it everywhere that you want!
