Exclamation WIN98 SE Exploer Problem

When I start up Windows 98SE, and go to open Internet Explorer, it shows page cannot be displayed. But, the internet works and I can use other browsers, IM programs and other Internet programs, but not IE. Also, i notice the internet be's bit slower than usual when IE dosen't load. EX when im playing a online game, it lags a lot. I think it might have somethin 2do with winsock files because I had this program that screwed their settings or somethin up on me cause ever since then, i've been getting this problem. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

This thread maybe better in another forum but you may have disabled cookies on a site that needs them (i would think you would get a message about it though) or you have set your security/privacy too high and you cannot browse anywhere.

You have raised several points in your thread. As regards IE showing 'page cannot be displayed', have you run through all the basic stuff ie deleting the Temporay Internet Files.

Presumably although you do not actually say so directly, I assume that you are getting this problem all the time on all sites?

What version of IE do you have? Have you tried repairing by going to add/remove and selected the repair function?
