What is REMINDER.EXE?

On my other computer I always see "REMINDER.EXE" in the task manager. When I end it nothing happens. What is it? Is it safe to disable it? I cannot find it on THIS site. I'm running XP Home.

I'va also seen that reminder thing for many software packages that you choose to register later and that is in that case the program that will keep popping up the registration reminder every 14 days or so...

Roller Coaster Tycoon has been doing that. It wants me to register. Anyway, I disabled it. Hopefully that was the cause of the RCT registration thing.
