What's This Junk???

Using Win98se and never had this happen. I'm typing this while standing on my head as the monitor screen has turned upside down on me. Not the monitor itself but the display itself. What in Hades happened and how do I fix? This leaning sideways ain't gonna cut it. Surprised my typing is legible.

I've seen joke applets do something like that. Check the Startup folder for anything unusual.

Cricket, still standing on my head as I'm typing. This began after I installed Spyware blaster and Spyguard someone recommended. I believe those were the names. I uninstalled and still doing it.

Wow, I've been recommending those two utilities lately and they've been working real nicely on my computers. I don't think they install anything else while the installation is going on.

Have you tried going into Safe Mode to see if the image is still inverted?

OK, it didn't do it in "safe mode". Cricket, I installed those proggies upon a recommendation. No problems for a few days except whenever I hit ctrl alt del it always asked if I wanted to send the spyware proggie to the recycle bin - say what? I hadn't even selected anything. I went on from there and all seemed well. System seemed to slow down somewhat and even when checking the "performance" tab it showed I was down to 63% which is totally undesirable to me as I have nothing else running except bare bones. Not blaming those proggies necessarily. The biggie upside down video happened after I downloaded OPERA to the desktop. I didn't even open the .exe to install it and suddenly the screen turned upside down. Being upside down I of course ran 2 virus scans, Ad Aware, etc., and nothing found. Checked msconfig, ctrl alt del and nothing found unusual. Something changed my display settings on the fly. Feel like I've had a bottle of cheap wine doing all this sideways/upside down stuff. If it keeps up I'm reformatting/reinstalling. This install is barely 1 month old and something is severely wrong!!

I've heard of several people complaining that they've gotten spyware/crap with their opera download. Try getting rid of it and see what happens.
