system resource problem help
On start-up my 512 mhz ram shrinks to around 220 mhz. I am assuming that programs are starting in the background as my ME os starts or is restarted.
I have cleaned with a spyware program, virus software and disk clean. Now how do I remove these applications from running in the background at start-up. Please help with a step by step method for dummies (that's me) Thanks in advance .... Knotez1 |

It's hard to do step by step unless you know what applications you're running since there can be difference's. Usually if you right click the system icon on the desktop or in the taskbar, it will have adminstration or control listed in the systems menu. Go into adminstration/control. Usually in there it has applications you select by checking or unchecking boxes. One should say to run the system at startup or when windows start or open etc. With items like anti virus software and spyware you may want to keep it on start up since it does a quick scan of the system. Especially if you have a cable internet connection that is open all the time.
