command and conquer generals zero hour

i'm trying to install the game and i can't get past the first step. every time i click "next" there is an error report. it said the the problem was most likely caused be the nview. so i disabled that but it still says the same thing. i tried to find a driver to download to fix it but i haven't found anything. has anybody had this problem and if so how did you fix it?

do you have the original game installed? c&C generals? that caused me a problem till ii remembered i had to hav rht efirst one installed.
