I seem to have run into a slight problem. I'm looking for decent directions to a solution. I'm no pro at the pc, but I do have some experience. My problem goes as follows:
I partioned my HD into 2. A 60GB side containing Windows ME. This is the origional, or primary. It's letter is C. I also have a 20GB side containing Windows XP Pro. It's letter is F. I did this so I wouldn't have to make countless backups of stuff and I could just drag from letter to letter. Now I want to format, or delete the C side. The problem is, my boot information is on there aswell. After I format I want to merge the two sides. I have PartitonMagic 8 for doing that. I need instructions please. Keep in mind, C is FAT32 and F is NTSF. Any help is appreciated. I thank you for your time. |

What you really need is GHOST. What I have done in the past is clone the second drive to the first. Kills two birds with one stone by wiping the first drive and putting the info on the second. Next step would be to do a repair installation of XP fixing up the boot files. Step three would be to use Partition Magic to merge the partitions.
