Windows ME (URGENT HELP)

Hi All,

Here is my problem, i recently downloaded ThinDivide 3.65 a sharing program like Kazza, i installed it and then after it was installed it popped up with a alert message i think saying mainframe cant load or something like that, and now everytime i boot up and windows loads, the tool bar at the bottom (where Start is, all of that) freezes up, but get this i can still move around on my desktop, i.e i can still click on My Computer. But the tool bar is just frozen and i cant click on Start or anything. Maybe now and then it will unfreeze, allowing me to start up AOL, but then it freezes again. So i am at my wits end now, i have no idea how to fix this problem, so i turn to you guys, if someone could help me ASAP i would be very gratefull. I have a Compaq Presario =(

Thanks

Have you tried going to Add/Remove Programs and uninstalling the program?

Boot to the Command prompt and type Scanreg /fix or Scanreg /restore. This will attempt to fix the registry or restore it to a time before this started.

. . . and if the Registry fix/restore commands don't fix it, you could give AdAware or Search and Destroy a try, though you might have to download them with a different computer, and install and run them in Safe Mode. http://www.spywareinfo.com has download links for those on its "Software" pages.

Best of luck

Boot to safe mode and uninstall or do a system restore.
