Clean Windows 2000 install
I have formatted my HD, I started up the PC, set the bios to look first for a bootable CD Rom, but nothing happens. How can I install Windows 2000 from a CD rom on my PC? It is an original Windows 2000 disk, when I am in MS DOS what kind of file must I choose ?

Thanks guys, but no luck. It is an original disk, but it is also an upgrade, a try out version for 3 months. ....I know it is possible, but I forgot it. And I don't like to install first 98 and upgrade then, sounds stupid ?

the upgrade 3 month trial is not bootable and may not work anyway as they are date locked to stop working after 2002

OK, I gave up. If people say that it doesn't work afyer 2002, it is useless. I installed good old 98 again, works fine. Maybe I will upgrade to XP....
Thanx for all comments and suggestions. I learned again ! |
