Open the group policy editor (START > RUN > gpedit.msc) Go down to Local Computer Policy > Administrative Templates > Control Panel > Display
Double-click on "Hide settings tab" and change it to Enabled. As an added security you could also hide the Display tool entirely from the Control Panel by doing the same change to the "Remove Display in Control Panel" security setting (in the same place). Needless to say, this setting only prevents users (non-admin) from changing the resolutions; it does not prevent resolution specific programs (like games etc) from coming up with different resolutions. Also to note, is that this setting will hide the settings for ALL users; including admin. If you, as the admin, wish to change a setting/resolution, you will need to go back to the same place and Enable the settings tab HTH Last edited by Statica; 11-26-2003 at 01:25 PM. |
