profile error while booting xp
hi,
whenever i start my pc, running windows xp home edition, i keep getting an error about my profile not being able to be setup and to contact the admin, but i'm the admin and there is only one account on my pc. problem is then whenever the pc boots, after the error appears, it acts as if i never set anything up, since my profile can't be used. so my settings are all lost, including for applications, if i run media player it always asks me to set it up each time i run it after start up, same for winzip and other applications. any ideas on how to fix this, i just want to get my profile loaded properly again. or is it better to create a new account and try that, but with that will all my applications still be there with the new account? Thank you. |
