automatic startup at midnight
My dads computer automatically starts up at midnight ever night. It's quite an annoying problem because the fans aren't the quietest and usually wake me up
. why the heck is it doing this and how do i stop it, or at least change it to a decent hour??

do you have a network with wake-on lan. this function allows your computer to turn on via the lan, so i would look for wake-on lan settings

Automatically starts up....
The assumption here is that the computer is on and in standby or hybernate mode ? andyms18a has you on the right track. This might be part of IE's "synchronization". In IE, select "Tools" from the menu. Select "Synchronize" and have at it. not much...good luck |
