There's an excellent tutorial on this over at http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_index.htm

You can use msconfig from the Start/Run box and disable things from starting by removing their checkmark in the Startup group tab, but I prefer that method as a temporary measure or for troubleshooting. The pacs-portal article can help you remove the items permanently - either by a preferences/options setting in the program itself, or removing a load= line in an .ini file, or an entry in your Registry.

If your Logitech isn't a wireless, for example, you might not really need Mouseware at all. Win98's builtin mouse support might do fine.

Best of luck, post again if you have any questions
