I don't know for sure but your post sounds like ur copying the CD! Good question though. The only advice I can give is Download/Install iMesh, run Spybot S&D, run iMesh.....and under search look for "How To Copy *" There I've said too much. Hope this helps.

BTW-If anyone wants to call me names or whatever, I own OEM/Retail OS'S

Cheers *cdnref*

I might be copying an XP cd, but the XP CD I might be copying is one that was burned from the origional. I work at a local Community College and one of our benefits is that we are allowed to borrow PC programs from the college to use on our home computers. I borrowed and XP Pro CD to upgrade my XP Home edition. I want to do a clean install, but I get an "Invalid system disk" message when I start my computer with the XP Pro CD in.

If this is a perk of working at the college then they should supply you with a copy that doesn't need to be modified or copied to install. Either way this topic is not one that the PC Mech mods like to see.

Check your yahoo E-Mail account as the instructions are to long to write here and it is easier to send you a copy of the one I wrote.

Not unless he needs to log into a Domain and the Home version does not support this.

But it does sound like he has an issue with the computer not booting to the correct boot device.

It sounds like there is enuf information here that this discussion should not be allowed. What lil jimmie said is 100% correct.... if legit, this issue shouldn't exist to begin with... so I am closing this thread.
