mysterious multiple occurance of file
I have no clue where the proper posting place for this topic would be so forgive me if it is incorrectly placed....
(I run XP PRo) Anyways, I have about 20 or 21 instances of a file named "hpothb07.*" on my system. I already know that this is a HP file. The files are in formats ".dat" and ".tif" and also two instances are in ".jpg". They range in size from 1kb up to 364 kb. The strange thing that made me notice this was that I had an image file with that name...but it had not been named this before. It had another name. When I opened the image file in preview, it appeared and at the top the file name in the header of the picture viewer was indeed it original name. The file locations are listed as being in program files/hewlettpackard and also in just normal program files, no sub directory, and in c"/windows, and in my documents and also in my computer. What the hell is up with this? Is this normal? |
