Messenger In Windows ME
As many of you probably know, there is a security flaw in Windows XP, having to do with the Messenger application which is used by users to communicate over their own LAN. I have long since disabled mine, however I just realized that my dad may not have. The thing is that he uses ME, and I'm not sure if A: ME has the same app, D: If it has a similar security flaw and C: What it would be under (ie. is it under msconfig>services or what?)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Not the same, ME has MSN messenger and XP has windows messenger. There are design flaws in MSN messenger, but not the same ones or same problems that Windows messenger have. If you want, MSN messenger can be uninstalled in Add/Remove programs or the Windows setup tab.

Ahhh, that is what it is, the icon looked similar to the Windows Messenger in XP, that's what caught my attention. Thanks Redo, I'll let my dad know (I think I might have scared him a bit, he's kind of paranoid about stuff over the internet).
