Strange owner of my folders that i didnt setup...
Ok guys, I have windows xp on my comp.
I have 1 hard drive with 2 partitions, a system partition, and another partition for media and installs etc etc. I recently formatted (formatted, completly formatted, but not zero filled) my system partition, and reinsatlled everything except for a couple games that i dont have discks for, like Wolfenstien. So a cupoe days ago, i have the strange urge to play wolfensiten, somehting i havent done in God knows how long... I go to my game icons folder, and the icon picture was there, not even thining about how i never backed up this game, i clicked it and started playing, and it had all my saved games and stuff.... NEVER BACKED THIS UP even stranger is when i checked the permission for this icon to the game, which is on my media partition, i see that the owner of the icon, and the ENTIRE d: is a user or group named S-1-5-21-1708587768-557421405-833522115-1093 (I randomaly changed a couple of those numebrs just so you guys know). Ok, so I dont really have a problem, but the owner thing is strange, and the playing a game that doesnt exist is even stranger. Thanx, jay |

shhh... you'll jinx it, jsut be happy with your super magic ahrdrive, I think if you filled that partition with something else you would find wolfenstein disapearing and making errors, still its wierd that you only needed a shortcut for it, I mean all a "file" is is a "shortcut" to some "data" so i guess it is amgic
