Win ME and RAM Upgrade

How much RAM can Windows ME truely handle if anyone knows? I currently have 256MB of PC2100 DDR running with my AMD 1800+ and all seems OK. I'd like to add another 256MB to the mix (my motherboard can support up to 2GB), but want to know if this will make ME unstable at all? I have heard rumors that ME cannot handle increments above 256MB - is this true?

It will work fine.
If you go above 512 you need to constrain vcache (in system.ini) to 512MBs or less.
