power point
I'm going to buy a used notebook online, and I want to make sure I get a power point software included. Is this available on XP home edition or is it only available on XP professional? Can I buy just the Power point software by itself?

Power Point is part of the MS Office packages. The most economical way to get it legally is to buy the Office XP for students and teachers. You can use it on a Laptop and a Desktop, I think. But you have to call MS to register the second machine.

You can buy PowerPoint as a stand alone product but it maybe cheaper to get the MS Office Standard Edition Suite.

True, alone the product costs nearly the price of the entire Std. version of the suite.
Just don't buy the Small Biz version of Office, as PP is not included in it.
