You can get that from the Windows CD Rom, or from the Windows start up disk. You can copy that over to your C: drive and replace the corrupted one. You could also go to start>run> and type in SFC for system file checker. The system will check for corrupted files and replace them from the Win CD Rom. HTH

here's a link that explains what this file does:
http://wombat.doc.ic.ac.uk/foldoc/fo...nd+interpreter
It's located on the boot disc and on the C:\ drive (where "c" is your hardrive with your os), in the Windows folder, and in C:\Windows\Command\EBD. I have it also in an Adaptec program folder.
This is one of those files that is used by a lot of different programs, maybe the version you have is not what your avg is looking for....if you save your exsisting version, it should be safe to try to replace it with a newer version. Do a search for it to see where it's located on your system.
If you have avg set up to run at start up, disabling this option may stop the error message (msconfig>startup).

Hi newme[ in Safe Mode you can go to the MS-Dos prompt. When you get to the C: drive, type " del command.com ".
Then put the floppy boot disk in, and change the dive to" a:\ ". Type " copy command.com c: " ( don't type the quotes)
That will replace the corrupted file with the new one. HTH

Send a message via Yahoo to catfishjoe_1
and after you do this you should reinstall an anti-virus program. Here are three for you to go and look at.
AVG - http://www.grisoft.com/
Avast - http://www.avast.com/
AntivirPE - http://www.free-av.com/
Good luck
