Apparently it is for sale for about two bucks in Malaysia. Going that route probably isn't a good idea.

Any reason in particular that you want it? AFAIK, it is still in early design, and big chunks (like the new file system) haven't been completed yet. So it is basically Windows XP with a few visual tweaks. It is not really worth having for any purpose other than to look at it, or test it if you are a tester.

Start here: http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/

FYI, Longhorn is a 64 bit OS, meaning that unless you've got all 64 bit hardware, it's (currently) a waste of space.
Fancy GUI on top of the basic XP OS so far, with a few 64 bit goodies thrown in.
Don't expect a working retail version until at least 2005, and by then most of us will actually have 64 bit hardware to run it.

Why anyone would pay for Alpha software is beyond me...

When did Longhorn become a 64bit only OS. M$ partners have been assured it will not be a 64bit OS but that there will be a 64bit version available. All alpah builds I have seen have no 64bit support whatsoever.

Which build you got? Does it just include some 64bit extentions?
