USB Digital camera not recognised by Windows 2000

The first time I connected my Minolta Dimage Z1 to the laptop, Win 2000 recognised it and set up as a Removebale Disk.
Now I have tried again and it fails to install – just an exclamation mark in Device Manager as a USB Device. I also tried on my other PC under Win 2000 with same result.

In the documentation Minolta say there is no driver supplied for Win 2000 (or Win XP) – only Win 98 but I can’t install it under Win98 either, even though I have installed the driver from the CD.

Sorry to have bothered everyone - I found the problem myself.

Cable connection to the camera can go in one of two ways - one way works & the other doesn't!

Anyone know if this can be done on other digital cameras or is it particular to Minolta? Seems pretty strange to me that it is not mentioned in the documentation.
