win2000
hi, what factors would i take into account when deciding whether to format a windows 2000 partition as ntfs or fat and also the ntfs file system allows files to be compressed or encrypted, which would be best to use to save space
thanks juany |

The only reason I would use FAT32 for 2000/XP is with a dual boot config in which you needed to share files with 98/ME OS on the dual boot system.

as jimmie says ntfs is a lot better file system than fat32 unless you have a windows 98 or me partition on the same computer which neads access to the win2k partition if you have a network with win98 computers the file system can still be ntfs as the network conection will reed the shared files no problam
