My PC (generic) operating on IE5.1/WINDOWS98, keeps going into a sleep mode. There appears to be no option forsetting when I go to Power Management under Control Panel. Is there some general trouble-shooting I could do to try to handle this problem. Perhaps through dos? Which I am not too familiar with!
Thanks, SCOVA |

Go back into Power Management via Control Panel. Change the settings to Always On, Never, Never, Never. From the bios, disable the Power Management.
I never run Power Management at all. It has been a trouble maker. Bill K. My Web Page |

If the Suspend option doesn't work as it should, or you simply want
to remove the option from the Start Menu, then use this tweak. Open your registry and find the key and value below. Change the value of 'APMMenuSuspend' to equal '00', restart the machine and the suspend option should have disappeared. Registry Settings: Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Enum\Root\*PNP0C05\0000] Value Name: APMMenuSuspend Data Type: REG_BINARY Data: (00 = not visible, 01 = visible) |
