task manager problem
ok when i try to open up task manager with win XP home
it opens up then a second later before i can do anything it closes it didnt do this before so wuts wrong with it? |

Have you checked for spyware and a virus?

i've checked for spyware by running ad-aware it was great but im pretty sure task manager stopped working AFTER i got rid of all the adware and spyware

Try restoring xp to a time before you got rid of the spyware.
If that doesn't work try: Put the XP CD in the drive, dismiss the autorun. Start - Run - type the following: sfc /scannow (courtesy of glc) |

do a virus check as the problem you have is normally a virus or Trojan it may be a good idea to reboot to safe mode and then click start run and type msconfig and disable any start up items you don't recognise then reboot and run a virus scan or visit house call at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and run the on line scan
