scanregw

customer's problems start after attempted install of AOL
gets message scanregw caused and invalid page fault in kernel32.dll.
any ideas?
i would like to repair registry but this program scanreg/repair runs in windows, or no?
isn't there a dos function for registry repair.
what is it?

Restart in dos and at the prompt type "scanreg /fix" to repair it or "scanreg /restore" (without the quotation marks) if you want to restore it to a time before this happened. .
