Angry Start Up Progams???

I know how to use "msconfig" and select what programs I want or don't want to start up when I boot up. However, when I'm in msconfig, and in the start up list, there are programs that I have deleted in the past. How do I delete these programs from the "msconfig" start up selections menu?

using 98SE

Thanks for anyones help...

you have to find them in your registry, usually under
Local Machine/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/ and either under Run or RunOnce or RunOnceEx.

Start/Run then type regedit, but be sure to backup your registry just in case you delete the wrong entry.

RUN -> Regedit

Before you do anything, make sure you save your registry by going to File -> Export. Make sure the "Export Range" is set to "All" and just pick a place to save it. The goto the registry keys that I had listed before to look for the unchecked msconfig startup progs.

Good link, there are 2 startup prog's though that I can't find in the registry and ur prog above doesn't show them either, but msconfig clearly has them starting up. So it's not the best prog ever .

god i love windows if it wasn't so hard to use id switch to Linux its about time software manufactures talked to us users and stopped making programs that take over our computers and let us run them when we wish not when they wont
