I know how to use "msconfig" and select what programs I want or don't want to start up when I boot up. However, when I'm in msconfig, and in the start up list, there are programs that I have deleted in the past. How do I delete these programs from the "msconfig" start up selections menu?
using 98SE Thanks for anyones help... RADAR |

you have to find them in your registry, usually under
Local Machine/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/ and either under Run or RunOnce or RunOnceEx.

Start/Run then type regedit, but be sure to backup your registry just in case you delete the wrong entry.

RUN -> Regedit
Before you do anything, make sure you save your registry by going to File -> Export. Make sure the "Export Range" is set to "All" and just pick a place to save it. The goto the registry keys that I had listed before to look for the unchecked msconfig startup progs. |

Good link, there are 2 startup prog's though that I can't find in the registry and ur prog above doesn't show them either, but msconfig clearly has them starting up. So it's not the best prog ever
