Boom Windows 98se audio help

I have a thinkpad 560Z, it has no cd or floppy drive. I recently re-formated the HD of this computer in order to wipe it clean. I now have the computer running well with only one problem. I have no audio. The speakers don't work with any programs. I know the speakers work, so it must be a software/driver problem. I checked the device manager and there was "Plug and Play BIOS" missing the correct drivers. I think this is the problem, so i checked for a better driver from the Microsoft website and found one. I installed the driver but ran into my problem. I was asked to insert the windows 98 cd because "bios.vxd" could not be found. Since I don't have a CD or 3.5 drive, I have the windows 98 disc copied onto my C drive. I searched for the file but it was not found. If the plug and play bios is my problem, does anyone know how i can get the "bios.vxd" file? Maybe someone could e-mail it to me? Below is a link showing screen shots of my problem.

Thanks for your help,
Michael

Whats the motherboard? I found some links and info with a google search. If you subscribe to driverguide.com for free, it says it has the file.
