Error code in Me
DEVICE ACPI IRQ holder for PCI IRQ Steering
PNP DEVICE ID ACPI\*PNPOCOF\00000002 Error Code 22 Can anyone tell me what this means and if its serious or not and how to fix it. Running windows ME and found it the the system help.

Is there anything you did before this error ,made any changes with hardware ,searching the net there have been other complaints but was not affecting there computers.

Well I did have a problem with IE 5.5 so installed netscape then got IE fixed now each time I quit the internet the machine freezes up. I also have a web cam with a built in Mic and a separate headset (mic ) on the machine. The web cam is about a month to six weeks installed... I was looking for a solution to a few apparently minor probs and came accross the above message???????? Any help at all??? Oh yeah also uninstalled about 2 gig of files as I thought lack of space might be causing the freeze but I have a 20 gig disk with 7 gig free.

what minor problems were you looking after when you found the error,also do you use ad-aware or any other spyware program,they can screw up i.e with hijackers and othersTwo rails looks like he found a good link,try ad aware if your not using it.

did folllow the microsoft link and found that now I have the above error with my printer. It seems to prevent me doing anything else while I am printing. Any suggestions now??? |

the minor problems are screen freezing when logging off the internet, the aforementioned printer prob. The fact the netscape keeps asking does it want to be default and I keep saying yes. and generally small jumps and freezes here and there. No virus as my software is up to date. and along with the web cam also attached a new USB extension kit??
