Hi guys new PC configuration
20Gb HD partitioned as follows:
C drive win98se FAT32
D drive FAT32
E drive FAT32
F drive win2k NTFS

The PC is a standalone for use at home, i created four accounts in the user group for each member of my family, some of the aplications i.e. publisher, autoroute express i loaded when logged on as the administrator are not accessible through the user group. If i add all my family to the power user group then they can access these aplications. Ive looked in the group policy editor but can not find a rule to allow these programmes to be used by the user group.
i thought starting all over again and re-formatting the F drive but came upon another problem:
Second point, to reformat the F drive how do i go about this as my win98 boot disc will not recognise the F drive (NTFS) and my win2k setup discs dont appear to have the format command.

well, when you run win2k setup, it will give you the option to format the "disk" or partition with fat32 of ntfs. you will have to delete the ntfs partition first. As for the programs and running them, some programs tend not to run for users other than the ones that installed them. But not true for all. I know this for a fact.
