Re-install IE6

I have some sort of frigging program (Quick Search) that has inserted itself into the Search function of IE6. This program replaces 'Search' with it's own search. It removed the custom search function and even pops up a separtate search screen on occasion.

Can anyone tell me if I can delete my current version of IE6 and re-install it new? if so how???

thanks!

Before doing anything with IE, run spybot and adaware. Let it fix anything in red. See if the program [quick search] is listed in add / remove programs. If so, remove it.

Thanks

Sorry, forgot to mention. I ran Spy Sweeper and Ad-aware along with Norton AV. The program is really in there.

Go to add / remove programs, it should list IE there. When you choose to remove it comes up with a box that lets you repair ie or to revert back to a previous version. If you want to reinstall, do a search for ie.inf it should be in your winnt/inf folder. Right click on the file and choose install. You will need your win2k cd to copy the files from.
