XP Pro clean install

I plan on building a new box in the upcoming weeks (will need more advice on that later) and would like to install XP Pro on it. I have a legal 98SE disk and a copy of 98SE on my old computer, I realize I can install with the 98 verification CD but what is essentially the difference between OEM and retail versions, does the OEM not qualify for updates or what, thanks

LarryC,

With OEM, you get no manual just the cd.
Updates are still available.

Cool

OS is no different between OEM and retail. Like Kubie said, with retail you get the fancy box and a manual plus the opporunity to pay double the price.

You did mention about using the WIN98 for verifaction. With OEM or retail full version there is no need for a prior OS verifaction. That is only needed if you are going to get a upgrade version of XP.

Go for the OEM full version.
