Win XP Outlook Express........

Anyone know were the messages you have received in OE are stored? Just got a new 'puter and want to transfer over some of the messages and not loose them when I format old drive........

ummm they should auto save they did for me when i reformatted i just put in the pop3 and smtp info and they appeared. :P

I've never heard of a "auto save" from a format.
Export your e-mails to a floppy or a cd before formatting or you will lose all of them.
It's in the file menu of Outlook Express

OE emails have a .dbx file extension. Burn them to CD and then copy they to your new system. Note you wil be overwriting any new mail in new system with this method.

You can find where they are stored by clicking Tools in OE, selecting Options, selecting Maintenance tab and clicking Store Folder.
