Odd virus I can't put my finger on

I'm looking at my cousins lap top and she has a virus that I can't find. These could be seperate unrelated virus' but here are the symptoms.

1) web page stealer. when you boot up the explorer you get directed to ad1.zendmedia.com

2) This is kinda funny. It makes the cd-rom pop out.

3) there's a tool bar called mybar that I can't find an uninstall for.

4) brand new computer is ungoodly slow.


I know the easiest way to fix this is to Fdisk the whole thing, but I want to track the problem down manually and learn from this.

www.lavasoft.de and download adaware. You have spyware and at least one browser hijacker. It is an easy program to work with and it is free.
