lost -show desktop- icon

My friend by mistake deleted her "show desktop icon" that is in the Quick Launch.

And she wants to get it back. How?

I tried opening that icon with Text app and found this

"[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop
"

I then attempetd to re-create it by copy and pasting the above commands ito a text file and saving it with the extension .bat

UnSeccessful, I do not know what extension to use.

thanks for any help..
